LionSteel

The M1 is a compact fixed blade that can be easily carried and handled and features a lanyard with a small titanium bead. This facilitates the extraction of the knife from the leather drop sheath making the knife readily available at a moments notice. The titanium bead is fixed to the lanyard using a screw system for an extremely clean look. The M1's M390 stainless steel blade will give you tremendous cutting power and a full flat grind aids in its excellent slicing capabilities. The craftsmanship of this knife is superb and will last you for years to come! Designed by Michele "Molletta" Pensato.

Love the knife, hate the finish...
I have a bit of a love/hate with this knife. Literally, one of my favorite cutters I have in my arsenal. I usually reprofile my knives and this was no exception. I gave it a 15 degree convex secondary and it is an amazing slicer. The original edge was good and sharp but now it’s a laser. My less than stellar part of the review is the fit and finish… yes, on a Lionsteel. There are significant scratches running the length of the blade, really fine, but very noticeable. Also, the walnut is pale and very bland. The walnut in the picture has color and figuring, mine has none of that. Also, there is a small dent in one scale that looks like the knife had something dropped on it. Also, the texturing on the handle is significantly more pronounced on one side than the other.Fit and Finish: I would give my specific knife a 2, but the blade shape and geometry, the M390 steel, the shape of the handle, the feel in hand, how well it serves its purpose, and even the sheath are all a 5. I can’t say enough good about the design, but the finish… lack luster at best and the extra price for the walnut, absolutely not worth it.
