LNMT01BL: MT01 BL Myto Folding Knife, Blue Titanium
LionSteel
The Myto is the next hi-tech EDC folding knife from LionSteel that perfectly fits your pocket and can be used for all everyday activities. Its geometry, together with the elegant and minimal Molletta design, perfectly matches its strength. It features a satin-finished M390 sintered steel blade equipped with the "ReF" (Removable Flipper system) and a Double Crown ball bearing system which keeps the blade more steady and provides a smoother movement. The locking bar is reinforced with a hardened steel insert so that the titanium bar doesn't get worn by blade rotation. A reversible titanium SOLID clip is screwed to the titanium frame by a tungsten carbide glass-breaker. The Myto is a slender EDC companion to the famed SR-1 and a rock-solid performer in each and every way.
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
Titanium Handles
A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.
M390
A go-to option for premium knives. Made by Bohler-Uddeholm, this 3rd generation powder-metal alloy offers high edge retention and excellent stainless properties.
Frame Lock
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.
I was very excited to get this knife, also concerned that I would be let down by the high expectations I had for it. It certainly lived up to the hype. Everything about the knife was perfect. The color is a bit hard to capture with photos I'm sure, it is a nice blue but it will turn different shades from handling it. Its rather interesting. A tip if you plan to disassemble the knife. Only remove the screws from the side without the frame lock. Everything is fit together very well, but with a little patience it will come apart. Simply remove the three screws on that side, and carefully begin lifting the scale off. Once that side is removed you have access to everything else for cleaning and lubricating. The bearings in this particular knife are a bit interesting, they arent the usual caged style. These are much smaller bearings set into what looks like a hard fiber typer material, arranged in dual row. There was plenty of grease in the bearings on my particular knife, I simply wiped the knife clean and applied a little of my preferred grease, I only took it apart because I wanted to see what the bearings looked like. Overall very happy with this knife. It's comfortable in the hand, very easy to open and lock up is fantastic. The crowned spine is a very nice touch, makes me wonder why more makers don't do it. I may have to look at one of their integral style knives as well. After owning this particular model, I wouldn't hesitate to try another Lionsteel knife.
