Not a bad little knife. I really like the thin, sharp blade. This will slice just fine. I wish they offered it in carbon steel; but it is, what it is. One good thing about this 420J2 steel: you could probably sharpen it on a match book striker. The liner lock is nothing I would trust my fingers to (snaps into place most of the time). Handle is comfortable/good control, but pinky hangs off the end. Compare to Opinel. I probably prefer the Opinel, if for nothing else, that it is available in carbon steel. MAM’s liner locking mechanism is easier to use than the ring lock on an Opinel. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This would make a great knife for a coffee can winter survival kit for the car/truck. This is a, “must have,” if you enjoy collecting knives from around the world, as I do. It would bring a smile to the face of any knife collector when they receive a MAM Sportive Knife as a gift (and, you’d still have some cash left afterwards). I really like the looks of their Folding Fork and Knife, their key ring knives, the mushroom knife, and their utility knives (all available @ KnifeCenter.com). I’ll be back for more.
