MCU41C: MC-41C Katana Folding Knife, Black/Blue Aluminum

Mcusta Knives

The design of this Katana folding knife is reminiscent of a classic Japanese-style sword. The modified tanto blade has a rounder profile and comes to a piercing point. The blade is made from laminated VG-10 steel with an acid-etched finish that is very similar to how the blade of a katana looks. The handles are anodized aluminum with several different colored grooves that bring to mind the look of a traditional wrapped ray skin handle that you find on a Japanese sword. The knife is deployed with an ambidextrous thumb stud and is secured via a subtle liner lock. The knife comes with a lanyard hole and a reversible deep-carry clip.

Cons: None
Attractive, functional, sharp blade.
I plan to use this as an EDC, especially outside of the house. For me, this is an elegant looking folding knife. The blade is extremely sharp and, of course, has a great, sharp point. Great blade. Easy to open and locks very well. Good feel in the hand. An excellent representative for my collection for Japanese craftsmanship as well as EDC, although I wouldn't use it for grunge work. Definitely fits in with your business attire and comfortable to carry when out. When choosing this knife, I was looking for different styles and better blade metals as well as something that caught my eye.

Mcusta Katana Rocks!
I am not an expert when it comes to the world of knives, however I do have my fair share of blades. I typically like a smaller EDC knife like the Spyderco Dragonfly but this knife has fallen into my carry rotation. When I carry the knife I get so much positive feedback from friends and coworkers. The blade is awesome along with the design. It is a little heavy for me but I don't mind one bit. I will be getting a 2nd Katana this month to add to my small collection of knives.
