Crafted with precision, the handle seamlessly combines titanium and carbon fiber for optimal ergonomics, delivering a cutting tool of unparalleled capability. The 3.77" Bohler M390 steel blade is meticulously sharpened in Microtech's North Carolina facilities for razor-sharp performance. Not For Everyone
Personally, I like the appearance of this knife, even the glass breaker that some don't like. The weight listed is 6.0 ounces, but my precision electronic balance says 7.08 ounces, and I have checked it with calibrated weights. It is a large knife, which doesn't bother me, nor does the weight, but I am accustomed to carrying large folders. The flipper tab is the best way to open it, but of course you must keep your fingers off the lock bar. Using the thumb hole to open it takes much practice because the curve of the handle makes it easy to place your index and/or middle finger on the lock bar. With enough practice and experimentation, the reverse flick can be fairly reliable. One tip for using any of the opening methods is to not grip the knife as firmly as you might be accustomed to, but not so loosely that you don't have control of it. A narrow strip of tape applied to the sharp edge of the blade might be in order while practicing with this knife. If you don't like a challenge, this knife might not be for you. The pocket clip was too tight when I received it, but it is much better now. I leave it up to you to decide whether or how to adjust it. With the 27% discount that KnifeCenter offered, I am still happy with the purchase.
