Good knife for the price
I was shopping for knifes several months back since it was about time I get a replacement. I had kept my eye on a cleaver-style blade from back when it seemed that every knife manufacturer was creating at least one cleaver-style knife model. I carry a knife around in my pocket every single day and use it on/for a multitude of things/reasons. With that being said, my everyday pocket knives tend to not last real long due to either falling apart, chipped up the blade, straight-up broken, or has become unsafe because of missing parts, and because of this, I buy a knife that is decently priced. I don't want anything cheap because it'll just break on the first use and I don't want anything real expensive since that would be a waste of a great knife by putting it through everyday abuse and a relatively low level of concern for its well being. It has been a great knife for everyday carry and use, the blade came as sharp as ever, right out of the package! It an absolute beauty and the ease at which you can cut through things is absolutely amazing. If you take care of this knife's blade, you'd be surprised that it can make anything you're cutting, feel like you're cutting through butter with a hot knife! Unfortunately, it isn't all good news with this knife tho, there are a few cons (that I consider minor, especially for the cost) that I've experienced. 1. The blade is pretty tight - This makes it to where you have to use a little more finger strength than normal to get the knife open with one hand. It's not as hard as one of the reviewers described and if he would have used it a little more or even just open and closed it a few times, he would have seen that this is just a temporary con. After using the knife a bit, the blade wore in making it easier to open with one hand without issues, and to me its now at that perfect tension/resistance.2. The belt clip on this knife is unholy tight, and if you're not careful then it will start to fray the seam on your jeans pocket from the friction it creates when sliding it on/off. This one I don't have a solution for you..3. Just recently I had a very very very small sliver of the blade peel off causing me to need to reshape the edge of the blade and then resharpen it back to a razor's edge (which with this knife isn't hard to do) and now it's back to slicing through items like a samurai sword. Sometimes if my skills are on point that day, I can cut through items to where it takes that item several longs seconds to realize this and slide slowly apart for that dramatic effect. :POh, and the lock on it wears in too so it doesn't stay as tight as when you first get it (this is a good thing) I'm pointing this out because it's also not as hard to do with one hand as another reviewer had pointed out or mentioned. It wears into that perfect feel just like the opening of the blade.Well other than that the only thing I have to say that is a con is cosmetic and that's that I wish this knife was offered in more colors/options for the handle, or even sold handle plate options individually for this knife. While they are at it, offering a Damascus blade option for this knife would be pretty cool too.. just saying. In all seriousness tho, this knife is one that I would definitely buy for myself again to use as an everyday use/carry. I mean it too because I purchased one for a father figure for their birthday and every man knows that you can't give a cheap knife as a gift unless you want to be seen as that guy.-Worth the price.
