The Proeliator is latin for the word warrior and is our largest combat knife yet. Slightly longer than the Equatorian, it is engineered for maximum chopping power and field versatility. The blade is cut from CPM 154 or S30V steel and then hand ground with the traditional Mercworx recurve. It also has a slight recurve on the top of the blade to further extend the cutting surface of the knife. The blade is hollow ground for a cleaner cutting and longer lasting edge. With a slightly leaner profile and handle, the fit and speed of the Proeliator are the focal points for this imposing fixed blade.Designed for extreme heavy-duty use, this is about as tough as a combat knife can get. Engineered for maximum chopping and thrusting strength. The ultimate survival-tool, bred specifically for the harshest survival challenge imaginable. The PROELIATOR is another MercWorx “truly one the best of knives, for the worst of times”.

Most worthless knife I have ever attempted to use.
The handle has a most poor design that makes this knife uncomfortable to use no matter how you hold it.If you just want a "cool" looking knife, by all means, buy it. If you plan to use it, you'll quickly change your mind. I gave mine away after attempting to skin an animal with it.Extremely hard to sharpen and blade grind angle is horrible!The finish is nice and looks good until you actually try and use it for something. I don't know what they had in mind when they designed the chili pepper handle, but it has so many hot spots it's ridiculous. I have large hands and wear a size 11 glove but I couldn't find a way to hold this knife that wasn't unstable and uncomfortable.Like I said, I couldn't sell it, I would feel bad, so I just gave it away where it remains a safe queen by someone who will NEVER use it.
