Description

OLXENOALMB: Oknife Ken Onion XEN-OAL Flipper, All-Black

Oknife

The XEN-OAL Knife, designed by world-renowned knife maker Ken Onion, is a game-changer in the world of folding knives. As a frame-lock folding knife with an aluminum handle, it combines innovative design with ultra-lightweight performance. The design of the XEN-OAL was created with the popular Olight Arkfeld in mind, giving it a similar profile. Weighing only 2.57 oz, it’s one of the lightest 3" blade folding knives, outperforming its titanium and steel counterparts by up to 40% in weight. The precision CNC-machined 3D triangular pyramid array on the handle ensures a firm grip, while the DLC coating (on the black edition) provides exceptional scratch resistance and durability.

This pocket knife also boasts enhanced edge retention and anti-corrosion properties thanks to its CPM-S45VN steel blade, making it a reliable companion for any task. With a modified sheepsfoot blade featuring a long arc for a larger cutting surface, it effortlessly slices through materials with precision. The XEN-OAL offers two convenient unfolding methods - thumb stud and flipper - and includes a removable stainless steel clip with a matte titanium finish for easy carry. Perfectly compact and incredibly tough, the XEN-OAL is engineered for those who demand both style and performance in their tools.

Good quality little small
Good quality knife but frame is small. Its good for smaller pockets but I like a little bigger frame to grab and hold onto.

Pricy but excellent!
I've been using this knife as an EDC for two months and really like it a lot. The blade shape is very versatile and works well for so many different tasks. It's surprisingly light for how strong and rigid it is. It's easy to open consistently and quickly, closing it is not quite as slick but it closes easily enough, even with one hand once you learn how. The grip on the lightweight handle is great. The slim form factor makes it easy and unobtrusive to carry clipped inside your front pocket. I did have to bend some of the spring tension out of the pocket clip because I don't like my knives to grip that tightly, but those of you who want it to stay put during rugged activities will love how tightly it grips out of the box. The gentle curve or "rocker" of the blade requires a little more skill to hand sharpen but it holds an edge so well I don't see that as being an issue.
