Opinel Knives

The Opinel N08 is the most popular and versatile size in the ever-growing line of Opinel folding knives. This knife is small enough to be used as a pocket knife and its 3.25" blade is capable for most all of your cutting needs. Stabilized Walnut Wood is ultra-resistant and comfortably contoured to fit the hand. The blade is made from 12C27 Sandvik Stainless steel, which will not rust, however, try to avoid leaving your Opinel knife in damp environments for too long and dry the blade after each use.

Safety

  • This knife features the Virobloc Safety ring. The Virobloc safety ring was invented and implemented in 1955. This simple yet effective locking system greatly improved the original knife.The ability to help prevent the blade from opening when closed was added to the Virobloc in 2000.

cheap quality
While this is not a hard use knife it provides good general cutting quality. The knife looks cheap and the price is, but it is put together well with a solid lockup and good materials.

Classic EDC
I EdC this daily with a Victorinox Sportsman. The lock up and total weight makes this a great EDC for me. The blade thickness is perfect for slicing up a apple. No one else is carrying a knife like this and that’s one of the things I like most about it. Where else can you find a knife that was invented in 1895 and still practical today? Every time I use it anyone around me wants to check it out and get one. I will be getting more in different wood species handles.

Classic EDC
I ordered this and Knife Center got it out very fast. Unfortunately when I received it I noticed that the tip was bent. No fault to knifecenter. I contacted them and right away they issued a replacement. Great job Knife Center. I love the knife and the classic look of the walnut handle. A nice hardwood that classic and feels good in the hand
