The Effile series is elegant and highly ergonomic. The N08 and N010 can be used as pocket knives. The N012 makes a great table knife while the N015 can be used to fillet on the go. All Effile knives have narrow flexible blades, the smallest ones are great for cutting fruits and vegetables, and the larger ones for filleting fish. Please keep in mind that the Effile knives have a slightly flexible blade and are not designed to be used for heavy-duty tasks. Try to avoid leaving your Opinel knife in damp environments for too long and dry the blade after each use.
Safety
- This knife features the Virobloc Safety ring. The Virobloc safety ring was invented and implemented in 1955. This simple yet effective locking system greatly improved the original knife. The ability to help prevent the blade from opening when closed was added to many Opinel designs in 2000.
