PFP01BMW: PFP01 Beluga Front Flipper Knife - Blue Micarta
Petrified Fish
An instant classic, the PFP01 Beluga is a medium front flipper knife with a sturdy design that is endlessly useful. The broad drop point blade provides a large belly for cuts and has a groove that can double as an opening mechanism along with the front flipper tab. The blade of the Beluga is made of K110 tool steel for increased wear resistance and giving the knife a rugged appeal. The handles come with multiple colors of either G10 or Micarta to find one that looks good for you. The knife comes with a reversible stainless steel pocket clip and a backspacer shaped to form a hidden lanyard hole on the bottom of the handle. A utility design and comfortable weight make the Beluga a great choice for an EDC knife that you won't want to pass up for the price.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Weight
Cons: Ease of Opening
This is the one I want to carry
Very nice knife for the price. Fit & finish, lock up and general look / feel is reminiscent of a more expensive knife. I have many medium to higher end knives, but this is the one I keep wanting to carry. Boarders on a larger EDC in hand, looks once but light weight for the size and streamline profile / deep carry clip makes it disappear in pocket. Micarta scales look / feel nice but also help the knife slide in and out of pocket with ease (and without tearing up pants pocket over time). Blade has a lot of belly, but I kind of like that…. Different and slices good. VERY shape out of box. Also, the front flipper differentiates it from most knifes in the collection. Takes some practice to deploy it on the first try each time, but it’s nice to have a new “fidget toy” that is a little different. Not a self defense blade, so not worried about how fast it flips out. Just a medium / to large EDC knife that is different than most others out there.

Very Impressive
This knife is very impressive, especially for the price. Make no mistake, this will not compete with high end knives but for the price it is excellent. I personally love micarta handles so this has a great handle feel to me. The blade action from the front flipper is very good. The knife is larger than most folding EDC type knives that I've carried and feels substantial in the hand but is still comfortable to handle. As far as blade sharpness, this may be the sharpest knife out of the box that I've ever received, high end blades included. If you purchase this knife and are expecting to get a high end knife it will fall short, but this is the best budget (sub $75) knife I've ever purchased.
