Description
RCBRK1302CB: Coyote Avispa D2 Frame Lock Folder
BRK Designed by ESEE
Avispa is Spanish for Wasp and this frame lock folder is an aptly named large brother to the awesome Zancudo folder. The Avispa was also designed by the survival experts over at ESEE Knives, Mike Perrin and Jeff Randall, and produced by Blue Ridge Knives. It features the same spear point blade shape but in a larger, more capable 3.5" size, with excellent D2 tool steel. With this larger blade, they needed a larger handle and what better knife platform to go with than the awesome Ontario RAT 1. It's a very ergonomic handle that's great for tactical applications and comfortable during prolonged use. The only knock on the Ontario RAT 1 was that it was always a liner lock and never developed into a frame lock. Well, wait no longer - the Avispa is here. The absence of the extra handle scale has produced an extremely slim profile and easy to carry knife with the Avispa. The pocket clip is reversible to all four positions and the knife weighs in at 4.4 ounces. It's another folder we're very excited about here at the KnifeCenter because it gets almost everything right in a folding knife, with great steel, at a price point you're sure to be pleased with.
