Designed by James Gibson, this fixed knife captures the spirit of a time-tested utility tool, re-engineered for the rigorous demands of today's outdoor enthusiasts. Its compact yet robust design makes it an indispensable companion for diverse tasks, from precise game processing and essential camp chores to myriad everyday cutting needs.

At the heart of this versatile knife is a 3.3" drop point blade forged from CPM-MagnaCut stainless steel. The blade features a clean flat grind and a resilient stonewash finish, reflecting its dedication to both function and durability.

The 4.25" handle is expertly crafted from scalloped brown burlap Micarta, providing a secure, natural, and incredibly comfortable grip that performs reliably even in wet or challenging conditions. This ergonomic design ensures confident control, making extended use a pleasure rather than a chore.

Great Knife - Very impressed
I have used this knife for hunting and processing wild game in the field. It’s a great size and holds an edge very well. The shape of the blade is perfect for getting your hands in close without feeling like you’re going to cut yourself. It’s not the only one I carry but it will not be one I consider leaving behind. I was surprised at how much I like the handle material. It’s not much to look at in my opinion but I wouldn’t change it.

Eder Canadian Belt Knife
Finally snagged a nice example of a Canadian belt knife. Unusual that this one became available just as I was looking for one. May have been a little more price wise that I was wanting to spend. That went away though when I admired the burlap Micarta scales. Knowing that these run in all sizes, this size will certainly fit the bill. It fits nicely in gym shorts and is not too heavy. Had an old slip I repurposed to a minimalist design. It now can be drawn and ready to work super quick. The sheath made for the knife is of high quality and would fit a belt nicely. This is a fine example as the handle and blade materials are top notch. The burlap micarta is “ribbed” offering a touch of tactility as the burlap is smooth and very comfortable to the touch. Handle is off a nice shape and swells the palm nicely. What else can be said of the MagnaCut steel-blade came shaving sharp and the leaf shape lends itself to slicing tasks as well as skinning chores. All in this is a premium offering from a great knife company known for their Randall’s outdoor line. I have 2 other Esee knives in the Randall’s line that are larger so the belt knife should complete the trilogy and get me a step closer to the complete camp knife setup. If you may like the belt knife design, I can’t recommend this one enough. Easily this knife will last through generations with minimal care. Regards, Heart_o_Tex, Ken Clark

Great outdoor hunting, fishing or camp knife.
I've used the knife primarily for hunting and fishing field work. Blade shape excels at field dressing game and holds an edge very well. Jimping on back of blade allows thumb pressure for cutting tougher materials. Handle material is robust and doesn't get slippery when wet. Only draw back to knife was there was no hole in end of handle for a a lanyard.Sheath is very well made and holds knife securely with out straps or snaps.
