Schrade Knives

This traditional slipjoint features two blades inside of a sawcut Delrin handle. The 1.9" clip point and 1.3" pen blade feature a satin finish and are made of stainless steel. The Delrin handle is comfortable in the hand and the sawcut pattern provides excellent grip in any condition. This knife continues the traditional style of two-bladed slipjoints and carries on the quality that Old Timer is known for.

Springs WAY too tight, shreds your thumbnail

First thing I noticed is the knife is nearly impossible to open, the springs are way to tight, the nail pull shreds your thumbnail. I contacted Old Timer customer service, and they admit its tight, and said I needed to use it more to break it in...if I cant open it, Im not sure how I can use it more to break it in. It is unacceptable, and unusable. I am purchasing another knife, one that opens easily and has a good snap to it when the blade closes. I owned an old timer nearly 50 years ago, these are now made in china and the quality is no longer there.
