Very nice knife for the price
Just got my Ventricle Tanto from Schrade and I am very happy with it. The skeletonized aluminum frame is light and clean, the frame lock hits the mark spot on.The AUS-10 blade has a nice gray tumbled finish with 3/4" jimping on the base of the blade, and the AUS-10 steel the blade is made of is one of the most friendly steels for people who are beginners at knife sharpening, and the dream of others who have been sharpening blades for a while. It is both one of the best Stainless Steels for corrosion resistance, holds its edge longer than most Steels, as well as one of the most easiest to sharpen.I know that Schrades Delta Class is their "budget" line, but the offerings are far above their price point, and they are almost giving them away. The AUS-10 blades will start going fast once more people discover the benefits of this high end steel, so buy them as fast as you can, I know I am.Rev.1 I didn't think about this much with my first review, but it does bear mentioning. This is a frame lock knife you are buying. There is no " Schrade Ultra Glide bearing system " working for it. By definition, the frame lock is always in tension, pushing on the side of the blade , so when you try to open the knife, there will not be any "snap" like most flipper type knives you may have. The "lock" is pushing against the blade all the way until you have it in the "open" point, and then it locks the blade open by snapping into the notch cut for it. You will have to manually finish opening this knife yourself every time you use it. This does not mean that the knife, or my above review is bad, it's just something to know before you buy it.And yes, I did buy a second one for a spare to have on a later date.
