A dynamic combination of the third-generation Endura one-piece handle design and the ultra-corrosion resistant properties of H2 steel, the Pacific Salt was an incredibly capable full-service folding knife. What it lacked, however, were the improvements that make the current Endura 4 even better than its predecessor—like a high-traction Bi-Directional Texture pattern, enhanced handle ergonomics, and a versatile four-position pocket clip. The improved Pacific Salt 2 fixes all that, integrating an H2 blade with a linerless handle that proudly includes all these advanced features. Another shining example of Spyderco's passion for Constant Quality Improvement (CQI), this knife was born to perform in and around the water.
The original black-bladed Pacific Salt endured extensive military testing to become an issue item in aircrew survival kits. Following that proud tradition, the black-bladed Pacific Salt 2 takes this enhanced design and subdues it with a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) blade coating and matching black coatings on its four-position clip and other handle hardware.
Zytel Handles
A nylon polymer that is lightweight and extremely durable, Zytel can be shaped and textured to provide excellent grip.
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
Lockback
The lockback system has been used for many decades. It can usually be found on the knife spine and it provides a strong lockup that will wear well.

Great knife, love the H1 blade steel ( only buy it in full serrated as it is a work hardened steel ) ......black out version looks good.... not much to not loveEXCEPT .....The pocket clip is thin, weak, and bends out of shape easily even during day to day regular use.....replace with aftermarket titanium clip to keep the rust free aspect.... but its got me to wondering now about the screws, pivot, and other metal components ......are THEY ALL H1? and if not..... can i expect issues down the road with rust etc..... I buy H1 cause I need it or it gets ruined due to my work environment...up to now, I've always used the Salt fixed blades which are all H1 and FRN.... I'll keep an eye on it and report back if it develops issues.....
