I bought this for my wife to keep in her center console to use in an emergency. It comes very sharp right out of the box, the handles are comfortable, the lock is strong, and it's tough and strong enough to do its job in a pinch. If you need a good emergency/rescue tool, look no further. It was on sale when I got it, but it'd be worth the money at full price. Smith & Wesson is an underrated knife maker.

It's a decent knife for the price.
For an EDC it's a decent knife. I like the triple combination of a flat blade, 45° angle blade and serrated blade. It fits nicely in my hand and the rubber handle assures a good grip. I like the glass break feature and the cord cutting recessed razor blade. The clip has never failed me and over a year or more of ownership and use. I keep it well oiled as my hands are large and I do not rely on the some button for opening assist. I just pinch it with my fingers instead. It holds a decent edge and I have found it to be a reliable knife. Too many Chinese knives in this point become loose after a short period of use but this Smith and Wesson has not in over a year of use.

Good for the price!
Good for the price! I mainly use this knife for work, cutting rope, canvas, thin cable, etc. What's great about this knife is the cerrations, the pummel, easy to sharpen, and holds an edge. Also, this knife is pretty beefy and seems like it will last, but time will tell. The only detail I would have liked to know but isn't horrible is the locking mechanism which is hard to disengage, but at least it locks and don't have to worry about the blade slamming down on my finger.Overall and for the price itsva good knife.
