The Parr, designed by Canadian maker Jonathan Styles, is a compact fixed blade built for everyday utility with an outdoorsman's sensibility. Inspired by the young salmon that gives it its name, the knife embodies agility, strength, and purpose in a streamlined profile. Its reverse tanto blade offers a straight, highly controllable cutting edge ideal for daily tasks or field dressing, while Sandvik 14C28N steel provides dependable sharpness and corrosion resistance.

Comfort comes first in the hand: the contoured G10 or Micarta scales deliver a secure, fatigue-free grip, and jimping along the spine adds confidence for fine work. About Designer

Jonathan Styles is a knife maker and designer from the island of Newfoundland, Canada. He has been an outdoorsman his whole life, hunting, fishing, hiking, and exploring. Nature is his inspiration for his designs, and functional art is his knifemaking motto. He has been an artist his whole life, designing, painting, woodworking, carving, etc. Knife designing came naturally, as did knife making.

It's a Fixed Blade Delica
I use this knife exactly the same way I use my Spyderco Delica 4. The blade on the Parr is slightly thicker than the Delica but not by much. It comes very sharp right out of the box, there is no rattle to the blade when sheathed, and has a terrific slim profile. The blade shape is useful for breaking down boxes and the tip is strong enough for piercing. The micarta handles are very comfortable and grippy, color is awesome too. The jimping at the base of the spine is well done and despite the knife being relatively small it fits the hand well.The only issue I have (and this is personal preference) is that when clipped to my pocket nearly the entire handle is shown. I'd like a little more of the handle to disappear into the pocket, but this is a very small thing. I also wish the sheath clip could be configured for cross draw or scout carry on my belt, but again, this is only personal preference. The sheath and clip themselves work great.
