TOPS Knives

The Power Eagle-12 is a hand operated force multiplier.

For hundreds of years, people have been surviving utilizing machetes as a source of income, food, shelter and a self-defense tool. TOPS designer Leo Espinoza took that tool and preface, combined with a kukuri and bolo, and put it on steroids with a highly flexible impact resistant steel... and very comfortable indestructible handle ergonomics, so that the Bushman, Explorer or Outdoorsman can use it all day long, without handle fatigue.

Whether using it to clear a trail, build shelter, or for military or survival applications, this is definitely an important and easy tool to use. Hacking and whacking, it makes short work of most anything that gets in its way. However, the limp-wristed need not apply, this is a real man's tool.

This is not your normal hacking hamburger flipper, there is a whole lotta knife here! Possibly the most effective defoliant since Napalm. This large knife is truly a mix of the best of two historic and trusted knives, in both design and action.

I own two, one a wall hanger, the other in the field. I go camping every weekend. This baby handles all of my camp chores. She holds an awesome edge comes razor sharp out of the box, and ready for action. This baby fits exceptionally well in my medium size 8 hand. She is well balanced, very attractive, and when I tell folks of Lee Ermey from Full Metal Jacket, they want one. I have an extensive knife collection. I was an aviation supply petty officer for the U.S. Navy. I issued more Ka-Bar knives that I can recall. They stood the test of time and my 1974 Mark 1 is still in service to this day. Many companies drip their quality, NOT Ka-Bar. They've steadily improved over the years. I believe you will be MORE than satisfied. Knife Center will CHEERFULLY refund your money if you are unhappy. Ka-Bar is made in The USA!

Gotta love tops!!
The power eagle has been strapped to my hike pack for 5 years now. It's been my favorite outdoor tool for many different tasks. It's a beast when it comes to chopping. It stays decently sharp after using and abusing this thing. I love the handle on this tool. It's super comfortable and the perfect size. Fit n finish is awesome as usual with tops. I have a few really expensive kukris and camp knives and I prefer the power eagle. If I ever happen to lose it or if it fails on me, which I highly doubt, I won't hesitate to replace it with the exact same one. I have worn out the original sheath over the years but I prefer this one over a kydex sheath because it straps to my pack perfectly.

Good chopper
Love this knife for chopping wood. I have made two videos reviewing it batoning and also chopping wood, it exceeded my expectations on both. Nice forward balance on it. Now the cons, that handle strap, you'll remove it immediately and put a paracord strap through hole below scales. Screws in scales don't bother me at all, maybe they would bother someone with soft girl hands, but personally I don't even notice them. Overall a very solid chopper, I just touch it up with 600 grit sandpaper now and then and it stays sharp enough. This is a knife that is built to last in my opinion.
