This is a fantastic fixed blade with a bayonet type blade. It can be used for a variety of things but at its core it's designed as a fighting knife.Tops and Laci Szabo make great blades together and this 1 will last forever. I thought it would have serrations but am glad it doesn't now that I have it in hand. It came sharp and after a quick stropping it's scary sharp.The false edge is almost sharp and with a little work could be sharpened. I believe it has a convex edge and I can tell it's very strong and will be easy to touch up or sharpen when the time comes. At 1/4 " thick it has a good heft to it. While I was looking, I also wanted to have a cross guard and on this 1 it's integral to the this blade making it all the stronger. I highly recommend this particular knife especially if you're a USMC vet too, it's very similar to the current Ontario issue bayonet but without the ring to fit over the muzzle making handling it much easier really a great design. The micarta handles are grooved perfectly and versus a k bar this is far superior for me, no stick tang here! It also has a divot on each side for fire starting built in and gives a tactile response when in hand. The sheath is the only weak link but it's really not that bad and aftermarket sheaths are available and as always knifecenter has the fastest shipping and best customer service out there, thank you!
