TOPS Knives

This knife was made with respect and admiration for the US Army Rangers. The American Ranger has a history that is a long and colorful saga of courage, daring, and outstanding leadership with their motto being "Rangers lead the way". They are considered an elite light infantry and special OPS group performing raids, rescue, CQB (Close Quarters Combat), sniper, and recovery operations. A long standing heritage and tradition dating back to Roger's Rangers, during America's colonial period with specialized skills they are flexible, highly-trained, and use rapid deployment against conventional and special OPS targets. Their training is incredibly tough and they are considered to be HARD TO THE CORE! Like many of TOPS knives they consulted rangers for the input in developing this line of knives. The knife comes with a Kydex sheath.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Overall Quality

Almost great: needs 15% bigger
Beau little design, decent utility but wouldn’t call it tactical or hard use. Needs >0.5” more handle to apply proper leverage with pinky in standard grip or thumb in ice pick. Needs another >0.5” on blade for self defense. Great pinch grip, small forward finger choils appreciated (which could also be a hair bigger). TOPS needs to stretch 15% length and width (not thickness) and it would be a proper EDC, maybe call it “Ranger Full Stop” - as it stands this is the more practical alternative to Mini Tanimbocca Pukko and should come with leather sheath not kydex. The tapered handle on this Short Stop needs a lot of help in terms of grip so I’ve had to wrap leather cord between the bottom 2 holes.
