Beautiful!
The sheath rattle was cured with a small triangular piece of neoprene foam, about 1/8 inch thick and about 1/2 to 3/4 inch in surface area. I pushed to bottom with letter opener. You can still see both drain holes and it can be removed easily by pushing out from drain holes below. I attached a lanyard so you can pull on it to remove the retention o-ring very easily and quickly. I think this is an amazing knife. The finish on the blade gives it an iridescence from all the very fine lines. Blade has excellent thickness. Blade geometry is superb. Only caveat might be that the texture of handle and the friction details of grip could perhaps be more robust. I may may make some minor alterations myself, but only after field test. Kudos to Victorinox....and price is reasonable.

Camp bushcraft knife that’s overall worth the money
I’ve been using one of these since they came out. There have been some YouTube videos complaining about durability; I haven’t tried to abuse the knife but I haven’t babied it either. It’s been used for all camp chores from batoning kindling, to carving tent stakes to food prep, cutting rope, striking ferro rods, etc. It’s been wet, dirty, scuffed and scraped; aside from cosmetics it’s held up just fine. In my opinion the thinner grind and edge makes it more useful as an all-around camp/bushcraft knife than the Garberg, which doesn’t slice or even carve nearly as well as the Venture does (including batoned cross-cuts and beaver chews - the thinner Venture goes much deeper much more quickly into the wood than the Garberg does). Also the edge of the Venture is very durable; at worst I’ve gotten a couple of minor nicks that needed sharpening out, no different than my Garberg has had.The sheath isn’t great, but for me that’s not s deal breaker. And Victorinox is releasing an updated sheath 2024 that’s supposed to fix the rattle problem. Overall it’s a good knife for the price.

Great knife - Awful sheath
I spent a lot of time trail running in remote areas sometimes 10+ miles away from help and I wanted something lightweight and stainless but tough and reliable. I really didn’t want a scandi. This knife fit the bill perfectly however, the sheath is absolute garbage. I made kydex for it immediately and it suits my needs perfectly. Plan on replacing the sheath right away and it’s really a pretty good knife overall. 90 degree spine is a bonus.
