The SFL or Steel Frame Lock Tanto is the tactical blade you want if you're on a budget. Mikey Vellekamp is no stranger to tactical knives. Designing previously for Spyderco and Fox Knives among others, the SFL Tanto is a great compact combat knife. The blade comes in a tactical black finish and a black G10 presentation scale. The flipping action, riding on caged bearings, is fast and authoritative while the lockup is tight as a drum. It sits perfectly centered within the handle, poised for its next deployment and ready to pounce.
Each knife ships in a V Nives plastic case that should be kept and put to another use. It's made from tough, water-resistant plastic that displays the passion and attention to detail the V Nives family has for their craft.

Frame Lock
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.

Great looking knife
I was looking for a D2 knife but wanted something different. Found this knife and decided to give it a try. First thanks to Knife Center for the great service. Ordered on Monday and got on Wednesday! I am very pleased with this knife. The packaging was great. Comes in a plastic waterproof box and included a pivot tool and extra screws. Is not assisted but flips very easy. This is a full size knife, not a lightweight compact knife. The tanto blade looks great. It was not quite as sharp as I would like but just a few strokes on my ceramic stones fixed that. if you are looking for a well made great looking D2 knife for $60 you Will be very pleased.
