Understanding the Inkosi Folding Knives
The Chris Reeve Knives Inkosi evolved from the Sebenza 25 into a dedicated hard-use folder featuring a robust ultra hollow grind for increased edge strength. These knives include distinctive ergonomic finger grooves and a ceramic ball lock interface designed for maximum stability.
How does the Inkosi differ from the Sebenza?
The Inkosi is built for more demanding tasks than the Sebenza, featuring an ultra hollow grind that provides significantly more strength behind the cutting edge. It also includes integrated finger grooves for a more secure grip and comes standard with double-sided thumb studs for symmetrical deployment.
Why is the Inkosi considered a hard-use folder?
This series is designed for durability, utilizing a blade grind that is very close to a flat grind to ensure the edge can be pushed harder without compromising the steel. The oversized pivot and ceramic ball lock interface further enhance its ability to handle aggressive cutting chores compared to lighter-duty folders.
What are the benefits of glass blasted handles?
Glass blasted titanium handles offer a smoother finish that is more resistant to showing snail trails or carry marks than standard sand blasting. This finish maintains its appearance longer while providing a refined feel that is less chalky to the touch.

The Inkosi series offers Drop Point, Tanto, and Insingo blade shapes to accommodate different utility needs. All variants currently utilize high-performance CPM-MagnaCut steel to ensure excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance regardless of the chosen geometry.
How does the ceramic ball lock interface work?
The Inkosi uses a high-strength ceramic ball as the interface between the lock bar and the blade tang. This ball also functions as the detent, creating a super hard and stable contact point that eliminates lock stick and ensures consistent lockup throughout the life of the knife.
