Bestechman Knives

When looking for an EDC folding knife, some of the most important factors to look for are a lightweight and reliable operation. You will find both in the Bestechman Cicada's Wing. The reverse tanto blade deploys fast and smooth thanks to its ambidextrous thumb studs and excellent pivot construction. The thin blade combines with wooden handle scales to bring this knife in at just over two ounces for a pocket knife you will barely notice you are carrying. The Cicada's Wing is secured with Bestechman's B-Lock crossbar lock and comes with a reversible deep carry pocket clip to make this knife truly ambidextrous. Another excellent design from Bestechman, destined for your pocket.

Wow, the wood handle is fantastic.
I just received this knife, and it's great. The wood handles are beautiful and work well. Similar to other light knives with handles made out of some form of plastic, there is a tiny amount of flex in the handles when you squeeze hard, but it's not a functional problem--unless you're annoyed by that. The flex is similar to my Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight or Benchmade Mini Bugout.I suppose I will have to see how the handle holds up over time, but, otherwise, I don't know why anybody would prefer plastic over this desert ironwood.I like the blade shape, which seems very practical. Sliced right through paper without any issues, right out of the box. Action is smooth and easy to flick. In fact, it can be flicked open without working the lock, so some people might not like that.No blade play when locked.
