BO01BO391: Boker Plus Kaizen, Green Canvas Micarta

Boker Plus

The Boker Plus Kaizen takes up the deeply rooted approaches of Far Eastern philosophy and transfers their basic ideas from the spiritual to the material level. The Japanese term Kaizen consists of the syllables Kai (Change) and zen (for the better) and describes the constant pursuit of improvement. Perfection becomes a temporary phenomenon and is only an intermediate goal in the constant process of change. As an elegant gentleman knife, the Boker Plus Kaizen meets the zeitgeist and impresses with clever detailed solutions.

Modesty as a sign of true greatness is perfectly embodied by the minimalist pinball machine, which visually almost merges with the slim knife and is nevertheless highly functional thanks to the fluting. The satin blade is made of D2 works its way through everyday cutting jobs with stoic calm and always finds its way back to its center with the help of the reliable liner lock. The decorative blade axis screw is the optical starting point of the gentleman folder as a symbol of the change in form and function and ends in the straight lanyard hole at the end of the handle. The textured handle made of resistant Micarta lies comfortably in the hand and is equipped with a practical deep-carry clip (tip-up / r). The knife comes with a high-quality nylon case for storage.

I want to love it
Like the look and the blade is sharp1. butt cap is loose 2. the blade is not centered3. I can't open it with my finger (blister after trying) some suggested to do it as you do a lighter, but it's a bit more stubborn than thatif I can't enjoy opening it, then everything else is meaningless about this knife to me

Problem solved, I think
Amazing looking knife. The exact on the smaller side gentleman's knife I was looking for. Soon as i took it out of the box, i wore my index finger raw trying to open it.Then i went to read reviews to see if it was just mine that had too strong of a detent. Then I saw a review about the small tool in the boker it came with. I just slightly loosened it and now it's great to flip. The blade is now just slightly wobbly when closed but it's reasonable. Also, I've seen some complaints about the micarta fraying. It's supposed to do that. Too bad these reviewers don't understand this kind of wear gives it character.

Great Gentlemens Knife
Knife looks great but I received it stiff to open. I lightly oiled the pivot and exercised it a few times to work it in and now it is as smooth as glass. I've had mine for about 4 months now and have no signs of any handle wear or delaminating. Grab one while you can
