The annual Boker Damascus Collectors Piece breaks new grounds. The 2011 model is based on the custom design "Thorn" from Mississippi knifemaker Jim Burke, whose designs so far have been more on the tactical side of knifemaking. The Thorn inherits elements of this, but is nevertheless a real gentleman's knife with elegant, flowing lines. The blade, with a thickness of more than 1/8", is made of hand forged stainless Damascus (300 layers), showing the "Raindrop pattern", forged by Damascus forger Chad Nichols. The elegant brushed stainless steel bolsters blend perfectly with the Damascus blade, and the desert ironwood scales provide a most appealing look. The blade is opened with the characteristic nail nick and locks with a liner lock. With lanyard hole (no pocket clip). Limited to just 999 pieces worldwide. Blade length: 2 5/8".
