The Hadros is an efficient cutter from Dylan Mallery with an ultra-slender handle. The wide Wharncliffe blade is deployed with dual thumb studs and has a hollow saber grind for maximum sharpness. Its slim handle is probably our favorite feature of this knife, making for a comfortable grip and easy carrying EDC piece. The handle is just enough to cover the blade in the closed position and allow for an ergonomic grip, nothing more. It would make a viable outdoorsman knife and is perfectly poised to excel at utility tasks. Give the Hadros a shot, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Micarta Handles
Micarta is a compressed layered composite sealed within a thermosetting plastic which creates a strong, attractive material that is impervious to water.
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
This is my second one I got. The only con with this knife is it's hard to deploy the blade. I feel like the thumb stud is too close to the base of the blade and I have a hard time flicking it open. The blade just by it looks, looks so sharp and wicked it hurts. I've gone through both natural fiber rope and many cardboard boxes with draw cuts and it does a great job. What I mean by the the title best of both worlds is a particular YouTuber had created his own line of self defense knives and he chose this Wharncliff style blade I think because once in the flesh it will maintain it's grip because of the downward orientation of the tip and slice through. Unlike a traditional drop point with the belly might slip out sooner. The blade is super slicy and much more pointy than the picture shows. It has a concavity to it I believe the term is hollow grind. Anyways if you want a utilitarian knife than can double as a self defense knife this will do a great job. Just make sure you practice opening it alot to ingrain it into your muscle memory.
Great EDC knife, my favorite at the moment. I had a bit of learning curve operating snappy thumb opening, but once its mastered it is a pleasure to operate it.It comes in a very nice packaging, with cleaning cloth and little bag. Obviously it comes very sharp, razor sharp. Opening is snappy and pleasant. Grip is smaller then what I would like to have, so is the blade, however blade is of a considerable size for such a small knife. Ideally this knife would be 3/4in longer ( for me).Ergonomics are very nice, micarta has a very nice and smooth feeling to it. I am very happy with this knife, its not really heavy duty, but definitely an great EDC over all.I'm looking to get another Hadros with Damascus now.
