For those who want plenty of blade with modern functionality without giving up the charm and style of traditional knives, the Bob Terzuola-designed FX-525B by Fox Knives is exactly what you are looking for.
The slender drop point blade is made from N690 premium stainless steel. At roughly three and a half inches long it has plenty of edge to get the job done. Blade deployment is achieved with a thumb disc, allowing easy opening with either hand.
The 525B features modern screw-together construction with a liner lock, but the beautiful bocote wood handle scales make it feel like a classic.
There is no pocket clip to get in the way when using the knife. Instead, a nice leather pouch-style sheath will keep the 525B at the ready.
N690
The cobalt-alloyed N690 by Böhler (not to be confused with the lower-grade N695) is a very reliable upper-middle-grade steel Fox uses for a wide variety of projects. The fine-grained N690, which ranks above 440C, offers convincing performance data in all areas. It is often sold as N690Co – the "Co" stands for cobalt and describes the exact same steel.

Very nice knife
Knife arrived very sharp out of the box. Very well made and assembled. Was not lubed but smooth anyway. Sheath was so tight it was hard to remove the knife. I put some beeswax inside and that helped but needs to loosen with use. N690mo is a great knife steel. I would prefer a button to the rondel. No pocket clip and wooden handle isn’t great for pocket carry but it has a leather sheath that clips to your belt.
