Morakniv gave this knife a thinner polymer handle than the popular Basic Series models. The blade has a perfect balance between length and width, which gives a better experience when using the knife. The carefully chosen knife steel is hardened in Sweden to their exact specifications. 

The blade is of high quality carbon steel that is easy to resharpen. Carbon steel can be affected by moisture and corrosive environments, therefore, you will want to get in the habit of wiping off the knife and use oil on the blade after each use. The included plastic sheath has a water drain hole and for convenient storage and carry.

It was okay.
I purchased the Mora 510 due to its popularity among older members of the bushcraft community. When I received mine, however, the grind was uneven at the tip and there were flat spots in the cutting edge near the tip. The sheath retention was also quite poor and had to be fixed with a heat gun, and the belt attachment was quite flimsy. For the money, I would get a Mora Robust instead. Unless you want a thin sloyd knife, in which case I'd get a 511.

Excellent knife
After skinning and quartering multiple elk, deer, bear, lion, and countless small game this knife is as good as new. The blade works great for sparking a Flint.The sheath is great. I carry it around my neck with Paracord. It's always there. Highly recommend this knife.

This is a Great Knife!!!
I bought 2 of these knives after reading an article on outdoor survival. As recommended in the article, I ground 1/8 inch off the tip of the blade and put an axe bevel on the new tip. I was actually able to cut down a 4 inch sapling by batoning it into the trunk and working it back and forth. It's light weight, rugged and takes up little space in a backpack or survival kit. The carbon steel blade easily takes and holds a razor edge. A super value.
