The Responder Quick Action Knife is an EDC (Every Day Carry) sized version of the Responder X9. Ballistic glass filled nylon scales are easy on the pockets, while the thumb hole and flipper allow for lightning quick deployment. Knife features a stout liner lock mechanism, nice flipping action, and very ergonomic shape. A little bit thick in the hand but that also gives you a stout feeling when using the design. The belly is positioned exactly where you need it for extreme cutting tasks, this is one amazing design at an incredible price.

This combo includes the ultra-functional Blade Medic Knife Sharpener, which is the first responder for field repairs on all types of knife blades. It's like having an entire sharpening kit right in your pocket - able to tackle regular or serrated blades, gut hooks, hunting, fishing - just about any knife using one or all of the included features.
Blade Medic Features
Tungsten Carbide - Just three or four strokes will restore your blade.

Lansky Responder Folder and Blade Medic combo set
The Lansky Blade medic is light, useful, and well designed. The Lansky Responder folding knife is thick, heavy, and does not have a comfortable grip. This is a good sharpener packaged with a deeply discounted folding knife. If you are first responder paramedic buy a good pair of bent trauma shears and pass on the too heavy knife.

Worth the money
Though the new version doesn't come in 440c but instead it came in 9cr18mov, the knife is a lot better than what I expect. Truth be told I didn't really expect much from a combo pack knife, I am buying the blade medic and just need a budget knife to use as a beater, plus I am not always a big fan of "tactical style blade" but the responder sure change my mind. The knife is as heavy as a brick and feels as tough, how ever the ergo was surprisingly comfortable. The blade design sure looks funny but it is amazingly versatile, plus it came out of the pack silly sharp. The fit and finish is pretty so so, I still find a few extra plastic sticking out, the deployment was quite slugish but according to the user manual it is manufactured that way for safety reasons. you need wrist action to help with the deployment. The only hit from me would be the thumb hole design, it does become a pain in da butt some times. For a price this low you get a good knife and a good pocket sharpener, this deal is a steal. If you want the "Lansky Blade Medic" wanted a good beater knife and enjoy the heavier larger blade go get one of this combo pack.
