Now I know why it was on sale
Where do I start? First, the detent is too strong for the tiny little flipper nub they give you to deploy the blade. It takes a lot of pressure and after a few flips your fingertip starts to throb. Second, the blade was flat dull out of the box. I can sharpen a blade but I cannot make the flipper nub bigger. I really like the design of the knife and the feel in my hand so I tried to put some oil on the mechanism to free it up a bit but no dice. I’ve messed with it too much trying to get it looser that the micarta is not starting to age so I don’t feel comfortable trying to return it—I should have just put it back in the box and sent it back. I expect way more from a $100 knife and especially one made in Italy. I guess I have a project to disassemble and modify this knife to work better.
