The award-winning Para 3 Lightweight is rapidly redefining the state-of-the-art in ultralight cutting tools. Its PlainEdge blade is full-flat ground from CPM-SPY27 stainless steel and supported by a streamlined version of Spyderco's patented Compression Lock. To complement the blade's finish, the screws and reversible deep-pocket carry clip on its injection-molded, fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle also sport a satin finish.

Overall it is a Great Knife.Just one issue.The Screw that holds the pocket clip in place sucks!Everything else about this knife is Great !

Fantastic little folder!
I bought this particular Para 3 to celebrate getting a new job. Was hoping that the quality would be up to the spyderco standards I've come to expect. I'm pleased to say I'm in no way disappointed! The blade was perfectly centered which some say is a fault on many para 3 lightweights. I was incredibly surprised the edge needed no attention! I'm a bit of a fanatic when it comes to sharpness and have a higher standard than most when it comes to sharp. I'm glad and super excited to say that after a few passes on a leather strop this little cutter isn't going to get much better! The action is very smooth and got even better after I opened it a few times. Many people don't like the wire clip but I find it perfectly adequate and contributed greatly to the "lightweight" theme. Lockup is good and aesthetically the blue scales are as sharp looking as the edge! Couldn't be happier with this little guy. I see it getting a lot of carry time!
