This excellent addition to the byrd “flock” is the distinctively unique Gooney. Its defining feature is an unconventional blade shape, merging the functional elements of the sheepfoot, hawkbill, and Reverse "S" profiles to deliver exceptional versatility. Designed by Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser, the blade is full-flat ground from 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, offering superb edge geometry and low-friction cutting performance. Supported by a durable back lock within a linerless handle, it features gray, peel-ply-textured G10 scales. A four-position pocket clip accommodates tip-up or tip-down carry on either side, and a generously sized lanyard hole allows easy attachment of fobs, lanyards, and safety lines.
