The Makani is a limited edition collaboration with Anton Tkachenko, designer of the discontinued but well-loved Steel Will Lanner. It follows a similar form factor with organic curves and plenty of all-around functionality built right in. This is a sizeable design coming in at 8.35" overall, and with that you get a knife built to handle everything and built for everybody. It doesn't feel quite this large, however, mainly due to the contouring and internal lightening of the handle. The weight and stellar ergonomics contribute to it feeling much more wieldy - in the hand and the pocket - than nearly anything else its size. The Makani is an impressive limited production knife, don't miss out and kick yourself later on. This piece is limited to just 210 pieces.

Titanium Handles
A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.
20V Stainless Steel
A go-to option for premium knives. Made in the USA by Crucible Industries, this powder-metal alloy offers high edge retention and excellent stainless properties.
Frame Lock
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.

I have been interested in this knife for a couple of years and decided to get one finally. I've watched all the YouTube reviews and thought it looked great and reviewed well. In person it looks even better. The size is a medium full size. 4oz weight is manageable in some blue jeans, plenty of room to put your hand in the pocket at the same time. The simple stone washed ti handles look great, and very comfortable yet still modern in aesthetics. The blade is outstanding, the wide leaf-shaped hand rubbed finish is a wow. The fuller is high polished for a bit of contrast. The ano on the spacer and clip adds just the right amount of intrest to the overall beauty without getting too tricked out. The knife looks and feels like a custom knife. I immediately smiled when I clicked it open.
