The Silax is for those looking for one fixed blade knife to handle all of their day-to-day tasks. The AR-RPM9 blade has a large belly, suitable for most tasks, with a piercing point. The utility nature of the blade design means that it can be used for almost any task including camp chores, combat, and even as a substitute kitchen knife. The smooth and slim G10 handles provide a solid grip while remaining unobtrusive during use or carry. The knife comes with a Kydex sheath and lanyard for transport. If any fixed blade has earned the appellation EDC, it is the Silax from CJRB.

Great, but could be improved
I just got this knife today, so no real world experience yet. I chose it as an outdoor cooking / camp knife and an occasional carry knife. I like how slim and sleek its profile is, fit and finish of the knife are excellent, fitting of G-10 handle to the blade is flawless. Knife came very sharp and with hardness of RC 59-61, it should hold the edge really well. Also, the green colour looks cool, I think. I have medium size hands and I can hold it no problem. It is feather light and nicely balanced. The sheath is kydex and holds the knife firmly, with zero rattle. I have two issues with the sheath though: 1) The outside finish of the sheath is wavy and not perfectly flat. It looks like the kydex was moulded by fingers in a hurry, if that makes sense. Not a huge issue for me, but it could bother the perfectionists among us. 2) The sheath comes without the carry clip. It is up to the user to source out the clip. The sheath also has holes only on one side, which could make tying it a bit tricky. Personally I would rather pay 10 bucks extra and have the clip included in the box. That being said, I’m really happy with the knife. It looks and feels great and I can’t wait to start using it.
