RST3811: Arbiter Fixed Blade Knife, Stonewash

Real Steel Knives

With an overall length of 11.02", the Arbiter is by far one of the largest knives ever designed and created by RSK and Ostap Hel. The blade itself is an extremely long full flat grind that looks truly beautiful. A true standout design feature is the expertly crafted round back along the back of the knife. The blade is made from 9Cr18MoV stainless steel that has undergone cryogenic treatment, giving the knife extra durability and sharpness. Another staple of this RSK and Ostap designs is the hidden lanyard hole at the back end of the handle. This small feature allows for greater carrying while at the same time not protruding and affecting the overall design. The attaching of a lanyard also give this knife greater cutting options as the hand can be placed further down the handle. To keep control of all of this weight and strength, thick 3D milled G10 handles have been fitted onto the knife coming it at around 0.28" each. As well as this the Arbiter comes with a standard Kydex sheath that locks the knife firmly in place.

Expectations exceeded
Expected something good but got awesome. Extremely sharp out the box, shaving sharp. Yes I tried. I looked for a slightly longer camp, bushcraft blade but could only find tacticool ones however this is actually perfect. It's a solid, thick blade with a good hidden lanyard slot. Grips don't need to come off, just thread it through. If you are carrying a knife like this or any, you should be able to work a thread/cable tie/paper clip Kydex sheath is solid, tight lockup. The belt loop is not your average nylon but basically a seatbelt. Nice and smooth touch and seatbelt strong. The standard on large fixed blades, allows lower mount. Makes perfect sense and is removable if you know how to use a screw driver. Quality kit and definitely bang for buck!

Very good mid sized utility knife
I was hunting about for a mid sized utility/camping/hunting knife something to have on my belt when I'm wandering my rural area,not a knife for chopping down trees but for wacking vines and small branches out of the way or doing anything too much for a pocket knife. Comes with a kydex sheath that the knife locks into,for whatever reason they have a belt loop with a retaining strap which makes no sense as it's locked in,you can literally turn it upside down and shake until your arm falls off the kinfe ain't comin' out.I switched over to an IWB loop and it carries fine that way just tuck it in at the 3:00 to 4:00 position,and of course being kydex you can probably find another thousand and one ways to hook it to your belt,pack,ATV et cetera.If you want a lanyard there is a place for one-however you need to take the grips off,for me I don't care I never use one but I'd wager there are a few who'd not have the tools to unscrew stuff so might be something you want to be aware of before you buy it,it does however give it a nice sleek look with no extra holes in the handle.
