Simple is significant. For a household name like Ken Onion, creativity reigns supreme. His designs run the gamut, inspired by everything from WWII heirlooms to dune buggies. But when he sat down to create the Prowess he had something different in mind. This everyday carry folder nods at what a damn good knife should be: simple and functional. No bare bones here, this one is all meat and potatoes.
From his workshop in Kaneohe, Hawaii, Ken Onion has carved out a spot for the Prowess among his line of hard work inspired everyday carry pocket knives. He spent days mulling over the perfect form—considering the shapes and geometry from a lineup of the most iconic knives of the past. The result: a modified drop point blade in a league all its own.
Paired with an IKBS ball bearing pivot system and a subtle, textured flipper, it opens fast and digs into your workday without wasting a second. With a textured, black glass-reinforced nylon handle, your grip can withstand adverse conditions and stick to the job at hand. A subtle Yin and Yang detail on the pivot finishes the clean look.

I am not only impressed with CRKT Flippers I am very impressed with designs of Ken Onion of which I have several. The Prowess is flawless. and came very sharp out the box. The flipper action is very positive with the ball bearing action. The handle fits my hand perfectly. I do remove the clip from all my pocket knives for a firmer grip as well. I highly recommend CRKT for quality at a very affordable price point.

I really want to like this knife.
I like this knife. It's great for a CRKT. Beautiful design, and I'd really like to see more artistic versions of this knife. I like the yin-yang accent. The blade came decently sharp, the handle is comfortable, but my biggest issue is that it does not feel secure when locked. I don't know if it needs to be tightened or if it's missing something in the folding point between handle and blade, but it's wobbly when you hold the blade (if you go to close it, for example.)I like this knife, but I don't find many uses for it, since it doesn't feel stable.

Knife is well made, feels good in the hand. Only wish the clip was at the point end, I prefer to have the clip under my pinkie not my index. But the clip is curved to fit your grip finger, so there is that.
