CultroTech Knives are handmade in Russia by Maxim Soltamuradov. They are, along with Shirogorov Knives, some of the best looking, most precise knives made anywhere in the world. They use different methods to create some of the best action in the industry. Shirogorov regularly uses some sort of bearing system while CultroTech are outfitted exclusively with washers. Maxim believes that his action is not impeded by the use of washers and the additional stability that they provide make them the right choice for him.

The Zhim is another do-it-all kind of flipper from CultroTech Knives that's sized perfectly for everyday carry. It's not as large as the Svarn or Chest models, knocking about a half-inch off both the blade and the handle, and we find it to be a perfect size. Not too big as to be difficult to carry and not too small where you may need a larger knife to get the job done; but just right. This beauty features a stonewashed Bohler M390 stainless steel blade (heat treated to 62-63HRC by Denis Frolov) and a bronze anodized titanium frame with walnut wood scales and 3D machined mokume inlays. The pivot collars are made of bronze and the knife includes a custom take down tool inside the wooden presentation box. It flips like butter, locks up tightly with a replaceable steel lockbar insert, and is extremely ergonomic. We can't think of a single way to improve the look or feel of this knife, it's about as good as they come. Brand new from maker. Handmade in Russia.
