FT10791: Bushcraft Black

Morakniv

A new knife Bushcraft family with his black 3.2 mm thick sheet is one of the most sturdy knives Mora has ever made. The blade is made of carbon steel and has a black coating that protects against corrosion. You can use the back of the blade with a fire starter. The spine of the blade is sharp, ground especially for that purpose. Comes with a black rubber grip and a black plastic sheath.

Carbon Steel Blade:

  • Knife blades of high carbon steel can be hardened to HRC 59-60 giving best possible sharpness to lowest price. Knives made from above mentioned steel grades will after some use achieve a dullish grey finish. However, this will not negatively affect the quality of the blade. On the contrary it will somewhat improve the resistance to corrosion.

Best buy
A good quality blade, sharp and ready for duty in the woods or around the house. Very well made and comfortable to use for long periods without hotspots . The sheath is a tight fit and can need some breaking as any knife should be easy to draw but overall worth every penny.

Best Bang for the Buck
Out of all the knives I own, some of which are many times the cost of the Buschcraft Black, it's still the most comfortable one I own. I've had it since 2015 and is still going strong. .Moras are great in general, but this one for me is the best one they make for the money. My only critique would be the sheath. It'd be great if they offered a kydex taco style or Boltaron flat sheath.

no frills workhorse
defintively a pro is the pricetag which also allow you to use and abuse it maybe a bit more than reasonable. The sharp spine works well for scratching bark or a ferrorod.The rubber handle could be a bit more abrasion resistant but is not as fast deteriorating than the tine nobs of a CS SRK. The fingergrooves are perfect while gutting fish or deer. The biggest con imho is the sheath which works but look and feels really cheap.
