Gerber

Finding the ideal utilitarian tactical knife is no easy task. It needs to be familiar, like a well-worn pair of boots, yet still capable of quick action and worthy of long-term use. Drawing on its decades of knife design experience and critical feedback from military and law enforcement personnel, Gerber set to design a full-size, automatic knife that's as easy to handle as it is durable and fast to deploy in tactical situations. The Gerber Propel Auto knife offers proven fast, one-handed opening with a slim handle profile that fits comfortably in your hand, and pocket.

High-Carbon Steel Tanto Blade

At the core of any good knife is the steel of its blade. Gerber knows that a tactical knife sees many uses, some of which are not easy on the blade, so the Propel Auto's tanto blade uses 420 high-carbon steel for long-term durability and a dependable edge. Add a reliable plunge lock and safety switch, and you know the blade will stay where you want it, be it open or closed. The partially serrated blade adds utility when cutting stubborn materials like nylon cord, webbing or even thin metal. The black oxide coating and black G10 handle minimize reflectivity in critical situations where traditional stainless construction could give you away.

Three-Position Clip

We all have different preferences for the way we carry a knife, so Gerber created an adjustable clip on the Propel Auto that allows you to customize the knife's orientation in your pocket or on your belt. You can set it up for tip-down or tip-up storage and left-hand or right-hand bias.

Designed for Discreet Carry

A utilitarian tactical knife like the Propel Auto needs to feel good in your hand. The machined composite G10 handle complements the knife's balanced feel, while its textured surface adds grip security in cold or wet situations. Most importantly, you get a full-size, auto-opening blade that carries discreetly and comfortably day in and day out.

Buy a Kershaw instead! Gerber is not worth the money!
This knife has disappointed in every way! The knife arrived with a dull blade. The automatic action is slow and wimpy. If the auto action of the Gerber was compared to the auto action of the Kershaw it would be like an “everyday Joe” (Gerber) taking on Mike Tyson (Kershaw) in the boxing ring! This was my son’s everyday carry knife and as a first responder, he used it often. Within 3-months the pocket clip broke. When I reached out to Knifecenter for support, they said it was past the 30-day window and I had to go to Gerber…this process took about a month and included me having to send the entire knife back for just a pocket clip!! While this knife was getting repaired, my son used my Kershaw…so guess who is stuck with the Gerber now? Yup! No way is old dad getting the Kershaw back! This knife is not worth the money! Buy a Kershaw instead!

Great quality at a great price
This is my EDC for work - cutting plastic banding, boxes, twine, and shaving composite materials on the job site. Solid, quality construction, at a great price. I was worried about the G10 handle tearing up my pocket, but a little fine tuning with some sand paper in the right spots did the trick. The weight of the knife is surprisingly light for its size. I would definitely recommend this knife to someone who’s looking for a rugged, reliable work horse of a knife. 5 stars all day

THE BEST
I absolutely love this thing highly recommended, I have had mine for over three years put it through an insane amount of abuse. My only complaint is being a very hard steel is difficult to get an edge on it. But once you have it sharp it stays sharp.Make sure you to check your state and local laws because this could be illegal in your state It would be a felony in California to have this knife on you.
