KS2077: 2077 Strata XL Folding Knife

Kershaw Knives

Compared to the standard Strata, the XL version adds more size to this modern version of traditional Navaja designs. In 19th century Spain, Navaja knives were adapted as defensive fighting tools for working-class citizens. Today, the Strata XL can be used for everyday tasks. It opens easily with KVT ball bearings, while the 5.4-inch D2 blade edge offers generous, long-lasting cutting ability. A G10 front handle scale provides extra grip during use. Despite its large size, the single-position deep-carry pocket clip keeps the Strata XL discreet during travel. Matching copper anodized tube spacers and a pivot cap adds an extra bit of flair to this modern take on a Spanish classic.

  • G10 front handle texture enhances grip during use; frame lock secures the blade open

  • Matching copper anodized tube spacers and pivot cap; deep-carry pocket clip keeps the large profile discreet in pocket

carries like its way smaller than it is
I've carried this for a couple of weeks now and it's a fun knife. i don't have to adjust anything when i sit down even though it's pretty big. its light weight and thin enough to carry every day. the deep carry clip really hides it well, i get a lot of funny looks when i pull it out of my pocket. the only thing i don't really like is it's a bit hard to open even after a break in period. I'm not a fan of frame locks either. this one is better than other frame lock knifes i have though. I'm not a fan of d2 steel but i got such a good deal on this knife i couldn't pass it up. overall, it was a good purchase.

Is that a knife in your pocket?
Yes. That's a knife. One guy commented giggles. It is almost comically large, although with the narrow handle and deep carry pocket clip it shows less than, say, a RAT1, any Spiderco, or even other deep carry knives half the size.I require a bit of a flick with an index finger on the flipper to open it. I always take care and usually use 2 hands whenever closing a frame lock, especially one this big. Not a problem for me.Handle feels cheap although light. Feels a little narrow for a knife this big, but it does allow it to ride in the pocket less obtrusively, if that can actually be said.Big. Cool looking. Sharp. Big. Did I say big?
