LionSteel

Just like its bigger brother, the M7, the T5 tactical/camping fixed blade is a beast - but a tame beast at that. LionSteel's goal was to build a good multi-purpose field knife that was comfortable to use without being over-cumbersome and we think they've more than achieved this. The 5.04" blade is an intimidating piece of steel when unsheathed yet surprisingly easy to carry when not. The single-piece Micarta handle is extremely well done, locks the knife into your hand perfectly, and is very comfortable to use for an extended period of time. Knife comes with a beautiful black leather belt sheath with MOLLE compatible backing.

About the Designer Molletta - Pensato Michele

Michele Pensato - aka 'molletta', his nickname in Italian - is a very active designer with years of experience. His previous life as an excursion lover and a passion for archaeology had him spending most of his experiences in the great outdoors, where he soon got to understand how a great knife should really be and what it should be capable of achieving. He led the Nexus Production Group and the group that was created at the MCKF forum. A keen student of the steel industry, he stands out for his new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in thermal treatment applications. An advanced user of design software such as Catia, SOLIDWORKS and Inventor, he applies FEA simulations to his design and aims to create solid and innovative products.

Great knife decent sheath
I’ve used this knife to slice, chop, and dig holes in the garden. Very ergonomic. I was skeptical about how thick this thing was but in use it has the geometry to be a jack of all slicer. The sheath is great for what it is, just not my preference. Might upgrade to a kydex or less bulky leather sheath in the future. Overall would definitely recommend. As a bit of a side note if you’re wanting to scrape a ferro rod with this you’ll need to use the exposed tang at the pommel as that was designed with a 90 degree spine.
