Just like its bigger brother, the M7, the T5 tactical/camping fixed blade is a beast - but a tame beast at that. LionSteel's goal was to build a good multi-purpose field knife that was comfortable to use without being over-cumbersome and we think they've more than achieved this. The 5.04" blade is an intimidating piece of steel when unsheathed yet surprisingly easy to carry when not. The single-piece Micarta handle is extremely well done, locks the knife into your hand perfectly, and is very comfortable to use for an extended period of time. Knife comes with a beautiful black leather belt sheath with MOLLE compatible backing.
About the Designer Molletta - Pensato Michele
Michele Pensato - aka 'molletta', his nickname in Italian - is a very active designer with years of experience. His previous life as an excursion lover and a passion for archaeology had him spending most of his experiences in the great outdoors, where he soon got to understand how a great knife should really be and what it should be capable of achieving. He led the Nexus Production Group and the group that was created at the MCKF forum. A keen student of the steel industry, he stands out for his new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in thermal treatment applications. An advanced user of design software such as Catia, SOLIDWORKS and Inventor, he applies FEA simulations to his design and aims to create solid and innovative products.

Great Knife Overall
This is a great knife. The perfect size for an all-around bushcraft/camp knife. Not too big and not too small. The knife itself is a thing of beauty. Very comfortable in the hand with no hotspots. I love the canoe style of the micarta handle and the hand guard. It comes with a decent edge as well.The only con I would say is the leather sheath. Overall, it's great. Nice leather, good stitching etc. The only issue is that on mine the retention strap will not go around the knife and snap closed. It looks like they may have riveted the strap too far to one side on the back of the sheath. Move it over about 1/2 an inch and were all good. Fortunately, I bought the Kydex sheath and wasn't planning on using the leather sheath.

Great Knife
This is a very high quality knife and sheath. The fit, finish, and materials are excellent, but after handling the knife I feel it is too large for how I plan to use it. I have considered returning it but may keep it just because its a great knife.
