The drop point blade is versatile and the perfect length for controlled cuts. It is short enough that the tip can be reached with your index finger, an important feature for a knife that may see skinning duty. A subtle harpoon tip even provides an excellent place to choke up with your thumb for applying pressure behind the edge for carving notches or feathersticks. As with all LTWK field knives, it also features a 90-degree spine for striking a firesteel or scraping wood.

The handle itself is minimal, but just long enough to still fit all four fingers for most folks out there - enough to grab onto but slim enough that it never gets in the way. Finished by hand to remove any hotspots, the scales are secured to the tang with a combination of pins and high-strength epoxy for a lifetime of durability. The “Twist” applied to this version adds a little more grip without sacrificing the long term comfort.

The knife would not be complete without a good sheath, and the included JRE Industries leather sheath has good retention and classic good looks.
