It has been upgraded from the original with TOPS' fantastic Midnight Bronze and darkened black linen Micarta handles. The finish provides a smooth surface that makes processing game, food prep around the campsite, and just about any other task a breeze. The handle allows for multiple hand positions making it comfortable to use. The well-thought out the blade and handle features make the Idaho hunter highly capable and a very practical knife.

Unique design - I love it
This is the second TOPS knife I bought and I can say this is definitely a game knife. It has a lot of grip options with a great and unique handle design, although some might not like it for this reason. This is a great skinning knife for larger game, however I just like the design and use it as a general purpose knife hehe.

First time I felt I was done dirty by a manufacturer...
Wasn’t really sharp or even but I’m used to that with TOP knives (I just like them and I like to sharpen) but on this one they must of put the coating over a bunch of rust because I keep all my knives together and oiled this is the only knife that has rusted out under the coating this extremely let me down will not buy another TOP unless I can get it warrantied... hopefully your experience is different best of luck

Idaho Hunter
The usual fare from Tops. My knife was not sharp out of the box. The handle was awkward in my hand and I had to place my thumb on the jimping in order to get a comfortable hold. I don't care for this position because it exposes my thumb. Overall the knife will do the job and the sheath is one of the better kydex sheaths I own.
