Mcusta Knives

The Tactility Series Folders have an elegant yet functional design with an ambidextrous thumb stud in the blade for easy and secure opening. They use a liner lock for a secure lock and are available with a variety of exotic handle materials. The blades are made from a 33 layer nickel Damascus steel blade with a VG-10 core and dual thumb studs. The ironwood handles have a unique multi-dimensional contour. The knife comes with a stainless pocket clip and has a special oiled washer system for smooth action. This series comes with a decorative pocket clip that is designed to allow the knife to be carried low in your pocket with the tip-up for quick deployment.

Mcusta knives are made in Seki-City, Japan, and are the pinnacle of synthesis between traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern cutting edge technology.

Mcusta does not use the conventional method of die stamping their blades like most mass-produced knives. Components are laser cut and C&C machined to assure the best possible precision fit. This is an important step in the production of a superior blade. Each knife is then hand assembled and hand finished and inspected by Mcusta's team of craftsmen. This process creates a superior knife at a reasonable price.

Exceeded My Expectations
I purchased this knife to use as to a gentleman’s knife so that I would not raise too many eyebrows at the office should I need to use it. I’m very impressed with the fit, finish, function and construction of the knife. The ironwood handles and Damascus are both very well done. The only slight downside for me is that the pocket clip is a little too long for my taste. Mcusta quickly sent me a shorter pocket clip of the same basic design for about $10. This is one of my best knife purchases in the last few years.
