Mcusta Knives

Mcusta’s Classic Wave Series of folding knives have a practical and elegant design with contoured finger grooves, ambidextrous thumb studs for easy one-hand opening, and a reliable liner lock mechanism with silky-smooth opening action. The Classic Wave Series is a long-time favorite especially because it offers a wide variety of handle/blade material combinations.

Mcusta does not use the conventional method of die stamping their blades like most mass-produced knives. Components are laser cut and C&C machined to assure the best possible precision fit. This is an important step in the production of a superior blade. Each knife is then hand assembled and hand finished and inspected by Mcusta's team of craftsmen. This process creates a superior knife at a reasonable price.

Made in Seki, Japan, Mcusta combines modern technology with traditional Japanese craftsmanship to produce hand finished custom quality production knives. This knife features a 33 layer 3.40” Damascus stainless steel blade with VG-10 core and an ironwood handle with a non-reversible pocket clip.

Bought this from KC many years ago. Used it for cutting paper and pineapples then stashed it away for years. The san mai damascus pattern is still the most attractive blade finish available IMHO, and it remains corrosion-free, but the action remains tight after many years of use. In fact it loosened up a bit but the blade went off-center so I had to tighten it with a flat-head screwdriver. I know right. Really want to give this 5 stars because of the blade, but that action is just too tight for too long
