ESEE Knives

Since 1997 Randall's Adventure & Training has designed no-nonsense, affordable field knives specifically targeted to military, law enforcement, and the special operations community. Many of their knives now serve in combat zones around the globe. The knives have a "no questions asked" lifetime warranty. ESEE Knives is also setting the standard for many local, state and federal law enforcement officers when it comes to high performance, compact sheath knives with multiple carry options. The NTOA scored the 3-inch fixed blade a 4.77 out of a possible 5. In addition to knives, ESEE also offers survival, land navigation, tracking and other training courses along with free survival information.

The locals in Peru call the meanest, nastiest ant of the jungle by the name "Isula" and we know it as the Bullet Ant. The Bullet Ant is known to be independent, tough, light on its feet, and a real aggressive survivor. The Izula knife is built the same way and designed to be the perfect lightweight survival tool or concealed carry knife. These knives are made from high carbon 1095 steel. And while 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for - especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as TUF-GLIDE or TUF-CLOTH.

My favorite small fixed blade!
I own several Esee Izula's, but this my first of the Izula II. I love this knife! The original Izula, I prefer to carry without handle scales. The shortness of the handle plays well to its skeletonized form with a small lanyard, and allows for a concealable pocket blade. This model, with the added handle length, and micarta scales is perfect in the hand. This is my go to backpacking knife when I through hike. It is strong, easy to sharpen, and can stand up to tasks far beyond its size. This is also my third Esee in this particular finish, and is my blade finish preference.

Great Knife!
I own a lot of knives and I own several Esee knives. This is now my favorite! I love the original Izula, but the extended handle on the Izula II makes this small knife the perfect companion. I do a lot of backpacking, and weight is a concern. The Izula II, coupled with my Gransfors Bruk backpacking mini hatchet, pair as the perfect duo for all of my tasks.
