The Dragonfly 2 is a triumph of Spyderco's expertise in small knife design and precision engineering. Packing a full grip into a small package with a capable blade, there is a reason this knife is a favorite of many. Now with hand-dyed Zome-style (pronounced "zoh-may") Camo handle scales, this special edition here at KnifeCenter backs up performance with one-of-a-kind style and is sure to become a collectible.
Inspired by traditional Japanese hiki-zome (brush dyeing) techniques, the FRN handles are molded in a light base color and then individually hand dyed by expert Japanese artisans. No two of these knives are alike. Various colors of dye are hand brushed onto the handle to create distinctive patterns. These dyes completely permeate and permanently color the FRN.
These special handles are backed up by the classic Dragonfly platform. Slim, and easily pocketable, bi-directional texturing on the FRN scales ensures a solid grip even in the worst of conditions. A strong lock back keeps the blade open and is equipped with a Boye-dent to avoid accidental closure.
Spyderco really gets their small knives right. At just over 3.25" closed, the Dragonfly 2 still has a full grip when open thanks to the forward finger choil and thumb ramp, each with jimping for extra traction. This allows the user to leverage the small blade onto much larger tasks with plenty of control.
The blade itself is made from VG-10, ensuring a long-lasting edge, and is easy to open thanks to Spyderco's signature opening hole. The Dragonfly 2 is an exceptional slicer thanks to its full flat grind with a swedge to aid in cutting efficiency. A fantastic option for EDC, this exclusive Spyderco also comes with a subtle wire clip that is reversible for left and right side carry.

Spyderco's quality control is excellent. a bit pricey for a small knife, but I'm not complaining. Don't have much use for it (I'm more of a fixed blade blue collar guy) but I love it. It's very tempting to collect the sprint runs of this knife series.
I've had this knife for about 6 months and absolutely love it.It disappears into a shirt pocket, or clips onto a pant pocket to be easily deployed. High quality steel cuts fishing line, cardboard, paracord, lose threads,etc... This is a useful light duty knife. My bigger bulkier knives often get left home. This is a one hand deployable knife that doesn't look scary, or draw unwanted attention.
